What’s the job?

As a Room Attendant – you’llmake sure our rooms and suites are always ‘fresh and welcoming’ for our guestsafter a busy day at work – creating a haven for them to escape and relax in –or get that last bit of work done.

Day-to-day Responsibilities

·Clean assigned suites according to system standards and IHG Wayif Clean Methods. This includes making beds, cleaning bathrooms, vacuumingcarpet, washing dishes and dusting furniture.

·Place and restock items in the suite including paper items,soap, towels, matches, and candy, according to System Standards.

·Clean exterior entry, hallways, and windows, according to SystemStandards.

·Operate housekeeping equipment in a correct and safe manner.

·Assist in the Laundry Department as needed.

·Maintain and restock housekeeping carts each day.

·Know hotel emergency procedures.

·Responsible for the proper administration of key control forissued keys, or keys left by guests in the room.

·Follow the Lost and Found program administered by IHG.

·Report immediately to the General Manager or Assistant Managerany “out of the ordinary” situation in the guests’ room, including pets,parties in the room, unusually dirty rooms or a vacant room when the room isthought to be occupied.

·Accommodate guest special requests courteously.

·Be a team player.

What do we need fromyou

· It’s a physical role andyou’ll be on your feet most of the day, so fitness is important

· Strength – with occasionallifting of items up to 50 pounds / 23 kilograms and or push/pulling heavyobjects

· You’ll need to bend andkneel to complete some activities

· Literacy skills - reading,writing and basic math skills

· Flexible attitude to shifts– you may need to work nights, weekends and/or holidays
